Crash reported on Monday evening in Illawarra suburb

A 20-year-old man has died after a motorcycle crash in Warilla, in the Illawarra region of New South Wales.

Emergency services were called to Bradman Avenue at about 7:45pm on Monday, 19 January 2026, after reports of a motorbike crash. Police attending the scene found the motorcycle had struck the rear of a parked Volkswagen panel van that was unoccupied at the time.

The rider died at the scene. A crime scene was established as investigators began examining the circumstances of the crash.

Investigation and coronial process underway

Police have commenced an investigation to determine the events leading up to the collision, including the rider’s movements immediately before impact and any contributing road, vehicle, or environmental factors.
